Unwanted And Defective Mastiff Puppy Rescued Just In The Nick Of Time

If you adopted your pets, you know that they escaped what may have been a grim fate by being welcomed into your home. They were maybe born, then found onthe streets, alone and hungry. Or maybe they were unwanted by their previous family, and laterabandoned in a high-kill shelter. Whatever the reason, that pet, in a sad twist of fate, could have been one of the thousands of animals euthanized because of the lack of loving homes.

Willow, the Neapolitan mastiff puppy, could have easily been one of those poor creatures, but she wasn’t supposed to be. She’s a purebred, born by breeding. Her brothers and sisters, all healthy, would be sold from $1,000 to $3,000 each. But not Willow. She had a “defect” that made her unwanted by both the breeder and customers: Swimmer’s Syndrome would prevent her from standing or walking at the normal age of three weeks, and she would need expensive therapy to correct this problem.

So Willow’s breeder decided that she needed to throw her out but not before posting a message on social media. The message was shared until it reached the eyes ofJennifer Williams, the president of 2nd Chances Rescue in Norco, CA, who drove to the breeder to rescue the poor puppy.

And with a little help, therapy, and love, Willow has been growing into a big and strong 8-month-old pup.

Watch the clip to see how Willow overcame the obstacles in her way, and how she gained a loving family!
